Web Design Process – How It Works
Web Design Process – How It Works.
“I do one thing at a time, I do it very well, and then I move on.”

Our process is very simple, efficient, and built around simple steps. After eight years and hundreds of clients, we’ve meticulously refined what works. Our designers and project managers are dedicated to developing a website that will exceed your expectations. To maximize your time and budget, it’s critical to require timely input from you and your staff. This includes your brands, photos and copy/content.
Step One:
Choose Your Package, Initial Consultation and Analysis
After our initial consultation, you’ll need to choose the package that suits your company’s needs. Once your order has been received and processed, we will set a time to meet, discussing your vision and develop your project objectives. Specific brand analysis and software (if any) will be discussed along with style, target audience, photo requirements and social media idiom. The more detail you supply, the more exacting we’ll be at meeting your every expectation. We’ll also prefer your logo in vector format (Adobe Illustrator or EPS formats are best.) Your custom web site design will be highly subjective by your brand and color scheme. We’re always here to help and can assist you by recreating your logo for you or designing a new one for you.
Please note: Sandstone Digital does not write or provide content for your website. This is a separate service we provide, starting at $300 for six pages. The sooner we receive your finalized content/copy, the more rapidly we can complete your project.
Step Two:
Mock Up, Review and Approval
Upon consultation and acquisition of all previously mentioned assets, our design team will develop your first custom web design concept! Once we have designed your first customized draft, we will require you to review and approve a draft in your client panel. Please provide feedback on layout, colors, navigation, and any other details that you’d like revisited. Upon your second draft and approval, we move to the next stage.
Step Three:
Programming Review and Approval
Once the graphical interface for your site has been established, the web designers convert the design to HTML/CSS and/or CMS (Content Management System.) Creation of the inner pages, based on the initial site map thus begins. If your site is not CMS, we’ll simply require your content in order to complete your project.
Step Four:
Content, Training, and Launch
Once the programming has been completed, and after your final approval of the whole site, we can launch your project!
NOTE: If your project is CMS, we’ll set up meetings to show you how easy it is to manage your site, drop in your content, and manage any add-ons that you might have; calendar, gallery, blog or a news section.
This is a great time to consider some of Sandstone’s additional services such as SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and social media.
